According to close source to Gateway United FC have revealed that reports claiming the club had acquired newly promoted E-World United FC’s Nigeria National League (NNL) slot are false.
Early this morning an article was published to the speculations circulating that the Abeokuta-based side, who were relegated to the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) last season after 16 years in the NNL, had secured a quick return by purchasing E-World United’s slot.

However, reliable sources within the club have debunked the news.
