Galatasaray Mega Move: Turkish Lawyer Offers €2.5M to Keep Osimhen at the Club

Galatasaray’s passionate quest to secure the permanent transfer of Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen has taken a dramatic turn, as prominent Turkish lawyer and businessman Rezan Epözdemir has pledged a personal donation of €2.5 million to aid the deal.

“If Galatasaray asks for support in bringing Osimhen permanently, I’ll donate €2.5 million without hesitation,” Epözdemir stated emphatically. “As long as Osimhen stays, I’m all in. Let’s stop talking — let’s buy him.”

Osimhen, on loan from Napoli, has had a sensational spell at the Turkish giants, scoring 26 goals and delivering 5 assists in just 30 matches. His performances have not only won over fans but also raised Galatasaray’s ambitions to make his stay permanent.

According to reports, Galatasaray is preparing a €66 million offer for the Nigerian striker, hoping to meet Napoli’s steep demands. The club’s board, led by Abdullah Kavukcu, sees Osimhen as central to its long-term sporting vision.

In a bold and creative move, board member Rasim Zaimoğlu recently floated the idea of crowdfunding through the club’s massive 35 million-strong global fanbase. “If every fan donates just $1, we could raise enough to meet Napoli’s asking price,” Zaimoğlu said.

Now, with influential figures like Epözdemir stepping forward, the idea of a fan-powered transfer is gaining serious traction.

Osimhen’s impact extends beyond the pitch. His arrival triggered a surge in the club’s social media following — over 100,000 new followers joined Galatasaray’s X (formerly Twitter) profile within days of his debut.

While Osimhen has hinted at a deep affection for the club — declaring, “Galatasaray will always remain in my heart” — the final decision remains contingent on negotiations between Galatasaray and Napoli, as well as Osimhen’s ambitions.

With UEFA Champions League football secured and growing financial momentum behind the scenes, Galatasaray’s dream of keeping Osimhen may no longer be just a fantasy — it could soon be a reality driven by unity, ambition, and a €2.5 million act of devotion.
