Galatasaray of Turkey striker Victor Osimhen has predicted that his club will go far in this season’s UEFA Champions League, Sports247 reports.
Speaking ahead of a visit to Eintracht Frankfurt of Germany in their opening game of this season’s European elite clubs’ competition, Osimhen said he is happy that all his teammates share a huge ambition for success in the UCL.

The Super Eagles’ star, who joined Gala fully this summer in a record Turkish Super Lig transfer fee of €75m from SSC Napoli of Italy, enthused that his Istanbul-based outfit is filled with enough quality players to make their dreams come true.
Osimhen retorted, “I think we’ve got the quality as a squad. With the fans behind us and all our trust in our coach, we can go far.”
He further noted the high-calibre teams his side will face in subsequent matches of this season’s contest and reckoned that all the players at Gala will benefit immensely from the exposure they would gain from confronting quality opposition in Europe.
The product of Ultimate Strikers FC of Lagos noted, “For me, it’s important that we get these kinds of fixtures. So, to be honest, we’re going to give everything to make sure we actualise our dream in the Champions League.”
Osimhen, who previously played for VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, Racing Charleroi of Belgium and Lille Metropole of France, noted that he also wants to win many other trophies with Galatasaray, but admitted that the UCL is most important of all.
“We want to win the whole trophies we have to play for this season. We have every possibility to win a lot of titles this season.
“The season has just started, and we’re looking forward to our first Champions League game. It’s going to be an amazing one.
“We want to go far in this competition, and we’re going to give our all to actualise that ambition,” said Osimhen, who is in a race against time to be declared fit from injury and play on Thursday
