Few days to the celebratory novelty match to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, the Marquee team list for the day is out and players of the high class will take to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium to celebrate the Pillar of Sports in the state.
The match billed for Tuesday, December 1, 2020, will kick off by 4 pm at the iconic Samuel Ogbemudia stadium where the VAR will be put to work on checking tackles on the Governor, and the celebrant only, the Deputy Governor.
The gate will be opened for fans to watch by 3 pm, with strict compliance to the COVID-19 protocol – use of face mask, hand sanitizer, and observing social distancing.
The novelty match, which is expected to also have the floor lights used should there be any delay in starting the game.
The Galacticos listed for the game which will be between team Shaibu vs Team Local Government is comprised of top political personalities in the country and a host of ex-internationals and other top entrepreneurs in the state and beyond.
