Nigerian-born former Aston Villa of England winger, Gabriel Agbonlahor has opined that Arsenal’s chances of winning the English Premier League this season may be hampered, because he thinks their players ‘are looking tired.’
Sports247 reports that the former fleet-footed forward, who fans fondly call ‘Gabby,’ reckoned further that The Gunners’ coach, Mikel Arteta is not helping the team by devoting excessive attention to a particular set of players.
Gabby is also of a strong view that Arteta has to introduce a rotation scheme into his starting eleven in order to keep alive their aspirations for the EPL and UEFA Champions League titles, as they seek to end the season on a high.
He specifically mentioned Christian Norgaard, who the former winger believes can help Arsenal move six points clear of Manchester City at the top of the EPL’s table when they welcome Fulham in a London derby this weekend.
Agbonlahor stated, “They’re looking really tired. And I hope this doesn’t affect Arsenal. They’ve got a chance of winning two trophies. When you watch Declan Rice, and especially on Saturday, he looks shattered when you watch him.
“I’m surprised Norgaard hasn’t played a lot more this season because he was Brentford’s captain. I thought he was fantastic at Brentford. He doesn’t trust him at all. He’s played hardly any games this season.”
