Nigerian born Humphrey ‘Gabe’ Gabriel arrives Kumamoto, Japan on Saturday along with the Taiwan Beer Leopards for an international friendly against the Kumamoto Volters (熊本ヴォルターズ. Kumamoto Vorutāzu).
Kumamoto Volters is a Japanese professional basketball team in Kumamoto, Kumamoto. The team competes in the B.League. Volters hosted the B.League All-star Game in 2018.
Humphrey Gabriel plays for the Taiwan Beer in the Taiwan’s SBL and was drafted to the Taiwan Beer Taouyan Leopards.
The Taiwan Bear Leopards (Chinese: 台啤永豐雲豹) are a Taiwanese professional basketball team based in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. They have competed in the T1 League since the 2021–22 season, and play their home games at the Taoyuan Arena. The Leopards became one of the six teams of the inaugural T1 League season.
“I am thrilled to be here. The welcome was top class, l can’t wait to enter the court” Gabe said moments after the press conference held to welcome the team at the Arena.
