Fusion Football Championship : Simon chimezie Admits Goalkeeping Error In Draw Against North York FC, Vows To Come Back Stronger

Sporting FA goalkeeper, Simon chimezie has admitted that his error at the dying minutes cost the team the deserved three points as he apologizes to his teammates, coach.

The goalkeeper who had a good afternoon as he truncated North York’s attempt on goal at every occasion fluffed his team’s chance of victory just moments to the end of the match allayed that he will come back stronger for his side in their next game.

“I really feel bad for these two goals conceded after my display in crucial moments of the game especially when it was obvious that we will run with the maximum three points at the end of the game,” he lamented in his post game reaction in an interview with Sports247.ng.

“I feel terrible that I gave the opponent the avenue to equalize the game but I believe that in our next game, we can come back and correct the mistakes.”

“I did my best in communicating with my defense line, but we had some lapses which was as a result of the fitness level, the pitch as well played a part and also the timing of the match which is not to friendly in a sunny day.”

“As the league progresses, I do hope that our matches will be scheduled for a more convenient time maybe in the morning or in the evening when the field will be conducive to play, so it can help us in terms of performance and result.”
