Fusion Football Championship Game Week One Review

Matchday one saw more fixtures as G12 FC hosted Dominion Hotspur FC and Broadcity Fc took on TCC side Emmydinho FC.

G12 FC went two to the good against Dominion Hotspur FC to win 2-0 and the game produced a spectacular display with great goals from Segun Toyon and an even greater diving header from Ebube Ihukor.

The match wasn’t just won on the pitch but on the sidelines with a lot of tactical acumen on display as D’Guru Coach Christain Isikweme boys took the day over The Future One Boys but nevertheless, “it’s a marathon and not a race,” in the words of Coach Jamiu Isa.

The other game saw Broad City FC defeat The Creative Championship and NLO side Emmydinho FC 2-1 in another fun-to-watch game. Emmydinho FC opened the scoring with a goal from Micheal Jonathan with just 3mins on the clock. Ahmed Adesanya, captain of Broad City FC led his team from the front as he put his side level in the 6th minute. A third first-half goal saw Solomon Agbalaka beat the goalkeeper in the 14th minute to seal the win for Broad City FC.

A couple of second-half chances from Emmydinho wasn’t enough to break down the resilient defending of Broad City who showed shows they had a statement to make in the competition.
