Box2Box FC goalkeeper John Amah is happy with his first clean sheet in his side’s opening game win over B.E Arena FC in the Fusion Football Championship (FFC).
Amah was an assured figure between the sticks for Box2Box as they made light work of B.E Arena at the Agege Stadium on Wednesday.
Goals from Micheal Adetoran, Issa Saheed (2), and Isaq Soliu made for a comfortable 4-0 win for Box2Box.
John Amah had this to say to Sports247 after the final whistle:
“I feel happy to have kept a clean sheet. I was the best goalkeeper of the tournament last season so I am trying to raise my standards this season. I feel happy for the first game. Looking forward to the next one.
“It wasn’t easy for us but we tried our best and we came out with the important three points.”
The goalie revealed his lofty ambitions for the season.
“I said to myself that I’m going to get like 14-15 clean sheets this season. That’s my target. This one is the first. There’s more to come.” he concluded.
