The Prosperity Boys began the season in an impressive fashion, defeating Shooting Stars of Ibadan and Barau FC of Kano in their opening two matches.
But, their early momentum has since been checked, following back-to-back defeats, first away to Niger Tornadoes and then at home to Enyimba International on Matchday4 at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

Assistant Manager Meremu Okara, who spoke after the defeat against Enyimba, believes the team will bounce back, stressing that lessons have been learned from their recent defeat.

Ekeson Okorie equalised for Nasarawa United on the stroke of half-time, while Collins Onovuke netted the winning goal two minutes from time. It was Bayelsa United’s second consecutive home defeat of the season.
