According to Mr Hamza Akeem Oladimeji ” My attention is drawn to the situation of footballers in the Kirikiri Medium Correctional center as a result of my conversation with there Coordinator Mr. Emmanuel Opara who called for a friendly match with my club”

“Our Plan Initially was to pay a visit to the inmates and engage them in a friendly match thereby donating materials from my football clubs to them as part of our yearly community service but Mr. Emmanuel Opara spoke to me about what lead many of the football players to the correctional center which is very pathetic”

” Some were raided on the street while coming from training and some while watching football in viewing centers”

“Many of the players in the correctional centers don’t know the reason why they are there and are been maltreated while many of them don’t have hope of getting out”

According to the coordinator, Mr. Emmanuel Opara ” Many of the players are very young and extremely good. 90% of them are there for a crime they didn’t commit, I hope some get bailed out so we can see how we can enable them to achieve there dream that’s why we want to work with Team360 Football club”

Mr. Hamza said ” We have reached out to many friends in various places who have been donating towards achieving this project, the likes of Atta Aneke (Jude Odion Ighalo Agent) Norway, Ruth Newberry (Top Flight Football Agency) the UK, Mr. Obalola Olakunle (Obalola Sport Management ) Canada, Mr. Sharafadeen Of SGH Sports academy limited (United State of America), Eko Soca Managers Led by Hajji Gafar and many others “

We will try and see how their cases can be reviewed so they could get justice and be freed”.

We also use this opportunity to reach out to the NFF 1st Vice President and Chairman Lagos State Football Association, The President of National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers Mr. Tijani Babaginda to also come to the aid of this young football player in the Kirikiri Correctional center so that they can have hope for there future.
