British fighter, Frazer Clarke has revealed all about Anthony Joshua’s situation since his rematch loss against Oleksandr Usyk in August which resulted in him surrendering his heavyweight titles and has backed him to comeback stronger.

He stated that Joshua feels he let himself and others down and is in such a ‘dark state’.

Frazer Clarke who has the same coach as Anthony Joshua in Angel Fernandez has backed his fellow compatriot to bounce back and claim his heavyweight titles.

Joshua who was on a revenge and recovery mission after Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk won him on points last September was unable to win the August rematch which took place in Saudi Arabia as Usyk won through a split decision.

Clarke has spoken to Joshua since and admitted that the Brit is struggling to come to terms with his loss but feels that Joshua will get through this difficult period and put the defeat against Usyk behind him.

“He’s obviously disappointed. For some reason, he feels like he let himself and other people down even though he pushed Usyk all the way,” Clarke told Sportsmail.

“When you lose you go into a dark place because you think you’re invincible. He’s allowed to be in a dark place at the moment, but he’ll come through the other side.”

Joshua was visibly emotional after the verdict was read out in Jeddah, and reacted by throwing two of Usyk’s titles out of the ring before taking the microphone and giving a passionate speech to the crowd.

Clarke was in the Sky Sports studio at the time and apologized on Joshua’s behalf for his ‘ out-of-character behavior after the fight.
