Sports247 reports that Onyeka has settled down firmly after arriving on loan from English Premier League outfit, Brentford, and he wants to make the best of it, though it means he will now ply his trade in the lower echelon.
Onyeka, who previously featured for FC Ebedie of Sagamu and FC Midtjylland of Denmark, played on loan at Augsburg of Germany last season and will now hope to hit the ground running with the English Championship leaders.
He made a stirring pledge after Coventry confirmed that they had signed him on loan for the rest of the season, with the deal becoming permanent should The Sky Blues gain promotion back to the EPL.
The Super Eagles’ battling midfielder, who was born in Asaba, Delta State, joined Brentford from Midtjylland in 2021 and scored a single goal in 87 appearances, six of which came in the EPL this season.
The 28-year-old Onyeka, who got 30 starts with Augsburg last season in the German Bundesliga, declared: “I’m a strong midfielder, I’m a winner and I always want to fight for my teammates.
“My aim is to give 100%, bring my experience and help the team get promoted to the Premier League and bring glory to the city again.”
