The encounter, played at the GSP Stadium in Strovolos, saw Omonia deliver a commanding performance from start to finish while Uzoho ensured the hosts maintained a second consecutive clean sheet.
Omonia wasted little time asserting their dominance, with Panagiotis Andreou opening the scoring as early as the second minute to give the hosts a dream start.
Brazilian attacker Ewandro Costa then extended the advantage with a brace, striking in the 24th minute before adding his second goal in the 50th minute.
Swedish midfielder Muamer Tanković further strengthened Omonia’s lead with a well-taken effort in the 30th minute, ensuring the home side went into halftime with a commanding advantage.
The rout was completed shortly after the restart when Moroccan forward Ryan Mmaee added the fifth goal in the 52nd minute, capping a dominant display by the hosts.
While the attackers grabbed the headlines, Uzoho’s calm presence and reliability between the posts ensured Omonia maintained control at the back, recording back-to-back clean sheets in the league.
The convincing victory further strengthens Omonia’s momentum as they continue their push in the Cypriot First Division, with Uzoho playing a key role in the team’s defensive solidity.
