Former Lazio Academy Midfielder Damilola Adeyemi Eyes Coaching Course At NIS In Lagos

A former defensive midfielder in the squad of Lazio Football Academy, Ikotun, Damilola Adeyemi (aka Dammy) is eyeing a coach at National Institute for Sports (NIS) in Lagos.

‘Dammy’ told Sports247 in an exclusive interview that, although he still plays the game intermittently, he is concentrating more on coaching.

The youngster, who made top marks while playing under ‘Coach Papa’ during the high point of Lazio Academy at College area of Ikotun, admitted that he was demoralised when he could not get anything out of his relocation to Abuja.

On his return to Lagos, the fair-skinned lad turned to coaching and recently took over the technical crew of a team established by one of his colleagues at Lazio.

Dammy disclosed, “I am now the coach of GodDid Foundation FC and our youth team, Bright Always. Our CEO is Babatunde Adeshina, who was together with me at Lazio Football Academy.

“We have under-10, under-15, under-17 and free age categories at GodDid Foundation. I still play once in a while, but I’m also planning on going to NIS for a coaching course once I get a sponsor.”
