A former defender at National Grassroots Dream Team in Surulere, Lagos, Suara Damilare Adegoke, who is now waxing strong as a Christian evangelist, has disclosed that he has a vision of staging a ‘big crusade’ at Lagos National Stadium.
Sports247 gathered that, in contrast with the vision of most young footballers to ply their trade in Europe and play in huge stadiums across the world, Evangelist Adegoke is now thinking of using football as a tool in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The youthful cleric, who officially joined The Apostolic Living Faith Church in 2010 and became a Sunday School teacher in 2012, also disclosed that he has felt the hand of God directing his life since he started preaching in 2014 and was ordained as an evangelist in 2016.
He recalled, “I had some series of encounters with the Angels of God. That’s why I decided to stop playing football and face the work of God.
“I was also inspired from listening to teachings by Dr. W.F. Kumuyi of Deeper Life Bible Church, and I was motivated to follow in his footsteps.
“I want to follow one thing that he did many years ago by organising a big crusade at the National Stadium in Lagos.”
Apart from staging the mammoth crusade of his dreams, which he tagged ‘Miracles To All Nations,’ the former footballer, who grew up in Coker/Orile-Iganmu axis of Lagos, further disclosed that he wants to put joy in the hearts of people, not only by preaching the Word of God but also through various acts of kindness and interceding.
“I want to help people get out of their afflictions and problems. I want to help them put an end to those things that make them weep on a daily basis.
“I also want to create a ministry of football, with which I will be able to let young players know that it is a game of health and they should avoid taking hard substances.
“They should also avoid occultic acts and stay clear of cultism. Once they train hard and stay focused, they will get to the top soon and achieve every success they desire.”
