Former Enyimba Defender Joins French Ligue 2 On A Season Long Loan

Former Enyimba F.C defender, Valentine Ozornwafor has completed a long-time loan move to French Ligue 2 side, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard from Galatasaray, Sports247 Nigeria can confirm.

F.C Sochaux-Montbéliard announced the completion of the transfer in a twitter post on Friday, stating that the 23-year-old man joined the club on a season loan with an option to buy.

“The 23-year-old left-handed central defender is on loan with an option to buy at FCSM, after having passed the usual medical examination. The Nigerian International arrives from @SportCharleroi,” the tweet reads.

Valentine was scouted by Enyimba during Brown Ideye Challenge in 2017, then signed by Enyimba and was subsequently called up to compete for Nigeria in the U20 Africa Cup of Nations and also the U20 World Cup in the 2019 and signed for Galatasaray on a four-year deal in the summer of the same year.

He made his debut for the Super Eagles in a match against Cameroon in June of 2021.
