Young Nigerian football prospect Chukwuebuka Okpara Kingsley is appealing for public support as he battles to return to football after suffering a serious knee injury during a scouting tournament in Lagos State.
The talented youngster’s dream was tragically interrupted on December 12 during the final stage of a scouting programme where he had reportedly impressed both coaches and foreign scouts with his performances.

According to reports, Chukwuebuka was among the selected players advancing to the next stage of the programme before disaster struck during a match.
While attempting to make a pass, the young player suffered a severe knee injury after his patella shifted out of place, forcing him to leave the pitch in serious pain.
Since the incident, Chukwuebuka has been undergoing treatment at an orthopedic hospital, but doctors have now confirmed that surgery is required for proper recovery and any realistic chance of returning to football.
The emotional situation has been made even more difficult by personal tragedy. Before the injury, Chukwuebuka had already endured the painful loss of both parents in November last year and had only recently travelled to his hometown to bury them.
Now facing his recovery journey alone, the young footballer is hoping for support from kind-hearted Nigerians, football lovers, and well-wishers.
Speaking emotionally about his situation, Chukwuebuka revealed how much football means to him.
“Football is my dream and my passion. Everything changed that day after the injury, but I still believe I can come back stronger if I get the surgery and proper treatment,” he said.
Despite the challenges, the youngster remains hopeful about returning to the game he loves.
“I have been through a lot recently, especially after losing my parents, but I’m not giving up. I just want another chance to play football again,” he added.
Supporters are now being encouraged to assist the young player in any way possible to help him undergo surgery and continue his recovery journey.
