Football Coaches Give Kudos To Akinwunmi On Football Development In Lagos

Some Lagos football Coaches have commended the Chairman Of Lagos State Football Association, LSFA, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi for his commitment to football development in the state.

Some of them who witnessed Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation mini tournament early today at Onikan Stadium as part of the activities lined up to mark his 60 years birthday said the Lagos FA boss deserved commendation following the football achievements of the state at the national level.

The Lagos State FA boss is celebrating his 60 years birthday today and many activities have been lined up to mark his golden diamond.

Commenting on Akinwunmi’s achievements ,Eko football male team, Yusuf Adeshina described Akinwunmi a football developer and football philanthropist who uses his financial resources to sponsor many players to school within and outside Lagos.

“Barrister Akinwunmi has committed to grassroots football in the state. He has changed the face of football in the state. During his own time, he created Ekofootball league which is commendable by the football stakeholders in the state. I wish him happy Birthday and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, “he said.

Also Ekofootball female team, Olayinka Olowu popularly known as coach Umoh disclosed that the birthday celebrant is a father to him saying that what she achieved today is through Barrister Akinwunmi.

“Let me say this. Barrister Akinwunmi had supported my coaching education. He sponsored me to Nigeria Institute For Sports NIS in 2016.He had sponsored me to several coaching programmes which I am enjoying today.

“Aside my own, he also sponsored many players to schools to further their studies.What else can I say about this man.The fast growing football we are seeing today in Lagos is through his administration so he deserved to be commended.

“During his own tenure as Lagos FA boss, grassroots football is fast growing and we are seeing many of our young players at the underaged national teams, “he said.

Coach Kazeem Abioye who could not hide his feeling stated that Barrister Akinwunmi is loved by football coaches in the state because of his developmental programmes and congratulated him for clocking 60years.

While coach Segun Ogunwale and Onikoyi Ganiu confessed that Barrister Akinwunmi did not only do well in football but brought an innovation to grassroots football in the state.
