Flying Eagles Coach Zubairu Opens Camp, Waits For Foreign-Based Players

Flying Eagles gaffer Aliyu Zubairu Opens team camp as preparation for 2025 FIFA U-20 world cup tournament begins.

“This is the final stage of our preparation. By next weekend, I expect players to start arriving. The NFF is working to secure their release, although it may take around four to five days before everyone is in camp,”

Zubairu named first-choice goalkeeper, Ifeanyi Harcourt, defender and captain, Daniel Bameyi, midfielder Sulaiman Alabi, and forward Kparobo Arierhi in the squad.

FIFA Under-20 World Cup will be host by Chile, slated for Sept. 27 to Oct. 19. Flying Eagles’ U-20 training camp, is set to begin on August 18 in Abuja.

The camp is in preparation for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile in 2025.
