Flying Eagles head coach Aliyu Zubair has continued his fine run in Egypt after guiding Telecom SC to a hard-fought 1–0 away victory over Aswan FC in the Egyptian Second Division on Friday.

The result marked Telecom SC’s third consecutive league win and further underlined the growing influence of the Nigerian tactician since his arrival at the club last October.
Under Zubair’s guidance, Telecom have now recorded four away victories in their last 10 league matches, a notable improvement in form on the road.
Telecom SC will next host Proxy FC as they continue their push toward their season objectives in the highly competitive division.
Zubair’s impressive spell in Egypt has also included a memorable FA Cup triumph over giants Al Ahly, a result that secured Telecom SC a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
The coach’s success at club level follows his strong showing on the international stage, where he led Nigeria’s Flying Eagles to the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in late 2025, further cementing his reputation as one of Nigeria’s promising young coaches.
