Flying Eagles Captain Reflects on Crucial Victory Against South Sudan at All African Games

Daniel Bamaiyi, captain of the Flying Eagles, has emphasized the team’s determination to secure three vital points in their match against South Sudan at the All African Games, following their defeat in the opening group game against Uganda.

Bamaiyi expressed confidence in the team’s ability to claim victory in the upcoming match against Senegal, aiming to secure a spot in the semifinals.

“First of all, I want to say a very big thank you to Nigerians for their support, their prayers,” Bamaiyi acknowledged.

“We thank God that we won. At least we built our confidence back as a team.

The first match we lost was a hard fight for us. If we did anything short of winning that match, it would have been another story.

It has been difficult for us, you know. We needed to win the match. We needed the three points.

Not just us, but our opponents needed the three points also.”

He continued, “They came out, we came out, and we are happy we won.

Before the match, we talked, and we all agreed that we must win that match because if we didn’t win the match, it would have been difficult, and we’re happy we won.”

Bamaiyi’s words reflect the team’s collective determination and gratitude for the support received from fans and supporters.
