Sports247 reports that victory over the Moroccans on Sunday would take the Flying Eagles into the next stage as group winners, and Bameyi acknowledged the importance of achieving that feat at the ongoing youth championship in Egypt.
Bameyi stated, “The first match of the group has come and gone with a victory for us. Now, we move on to the next one. We want to go and prepare again and see what we have to offer.”
Daniel Bameyi concluded by affirming several targets that lie ahead of the team, as they aim to make history by not only clinching a ticket to the next FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, but also going on to win the unfolding competition in Egypt.
“We want to win the next match, and we want to come out top of our group. As we all know, we need the World Cup ticket, and we also need the trophy. So, we are working towards all of it,” Bameyi disclosed.
