Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, delivered another commanding performance on Monday, crushing RoyalToms Queens 11-0 in a friendly match at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, as preparations intensify for their decisive 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Benin Republic.

The young Nigerian side showcased their attacking prowess from the opening minutes, with Queen Joseph opening the scoring in the third minute before Kindness Ifeanyi doubled the advantage two minutes later.
Mary Dunstan added the third goal in the 26th minute, while Tobiloba Sarafa made it 4-0 before halftime to cap a dominant first-half display.
The Flamingos maintained their relentless pressure after the break.
Kindness Ifeanyi grabbed her second goal of the match in the 50th minute before captain Harmony Chidi stole the spotlight with a brilliant hat-trick, scoring in the 63rd, 69th and 84th minutes.
Destiny Itobore and Precious OscarQuickBooks found the net in quick succession, while Koasarat Olarenwaju completed the rout with a late goal as the Flamingos wrapped up an emphatic 11-0 victory.

The victory comes just days after the Flamingos defeated Dream Stars Ladies 3-0 in another warm-up fixture, underlining their readiness for the final round of the African qualifiers.
Nigeria will face Benin Republic’s U-17 girls, known as the Amazons, in the third and final qualifying round for a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
The first leg is scheduled for July 4 at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, while the return leg will take place in Benin Republic on July 11.
The aggregate winner will secure one of Africa’s coveted tickets to the global tournament.
