“It’s a dream come true,” she said with a bright smile when asked about her experience with the U17 squad.

Muinat’s love for football started at a young age. “I’ve been glued to football ever since I could kick,” she revealed.

“It was my coach who introduced me to structured football,” she said. “He made me believe I could become a star.”
Now that Nigeria’s U17 team has qualified for the World Cup, Muinat knows that the real work lies ahead.

“Qualifying is just the beginning,” she stated. “Finishing strong at the World Cup is the real deal. Helping Nigeria win her first Women’s World Cup would be a dream, and I believe we have the team to do it.”
Looking to the future, the Nakamura FA has big goals. “I want my name to be on the lips of thousands,” she said. “I want to make my family, and myself proud.”
