The stalemate saw Nigerian stars feature prominently on both sides, with Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi representing Fulham.

Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis turned out for Nottingham Forest.

Fulham defender Bassey delivered a solid performance at the heart of defence, helping the visitors secure a clean sheet while also creating their best chance of the first half with a header that was comfortably saved by Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels.

Iwobi also featured in midfield for Fulham, providing energy and creativity as Marco Silva’s side looked to control possession and launch attacking transitions.

For the hosts, Aina came close to breaking the deadlock against his former club with a powerful volley that struck the crossbar during an improved second-half performance from Forest.

Awoniyi led the line for the home side and nearly snatched a late winner but slid his effort wide after being played through by Elliot Anderson.

The result proved significant for Forest in their fight against relegation, as the point lifted them out of the bottom three with 29 points, level with both West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur but ahead on goal difference.

Fulham, meanwhile, moved up to 11th place as they continue their push for a potential European qualification spot in the closing stages of the season.
