Falconets head coach Moses Aduku has declared his team ready for the start of their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup campaign in Poland, with Nigeria set to face Spain in their opening match on Monday.

Aduku spoke after the Falconets played out a 1-1 draw against South Korea in their final warm-up match, bringing their preparations to an end ahead of the tournament.
The coach said the friendly matches had served their purpose and that the team was now fully focused on the competitive action.
“We have finished our friendly matches and now we are ready for our first game against Spain on Monday,” Aduku said.
He expressed confidence in the players, stressing that they understand the challenge ahead and are prepared to give their best when the tournament begins.
“The girls are ready for the task ahead and will give their best,” he added.
The draw against South Korea provided the Falconets with their final opportunity to fine-tune their preparations before facing Spain, with Aduku expected to use the experience gained from the tune-up games to shape his starting XI and tactical approach.
Nigeria will be hoping to make a strong start against Spain as they begin their quest for success at the global youth championship.
For Aduku, the focus is now firmly on translating the work done during preparations into a positive performance when the real competition begins.
