FIFA Safeguarding Summit: Nigerian Graduates With Twenty-Four Others …The Story Of Dr. Mohammed Adebayo Ameenu

The SSA to the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Mohammed Adebayo Ameenu has been invited to the House of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland for the FIFA Safeguarding Summit graduation ceremony.

Dr. Ameenu would be leaving the shore of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Sunday, 22nd October, 2023 to join twenty-four other graduates worldwide.

The erudite Referees’ and Match Commissioners’ instructor is one of the five Africans, and the only from West African to complete all the five courses on the FIFA Guidance Safeguarding in Sports Diploma.

As part of FIFA’s commitment to raise safeguarding standards in football through the FIFA Guardians programme, the Safeguarding Summit will have a two-fold objective. The first is a graduation ceremony for FIFA Learners from the various Member Associations who have successfully completed the FIFA Guardians Safeguarding in Sport Diploma.

The second objective of the Summit is to share safeguarding best practices and lessons learned across regions among the FIFA Member Associations and Confederations.
