Young Africans SC President, Eng. Hersi Said, has been appointed by FIFA as a Member of the Committee for All Men’s Club Competitions worldwide for the 2025–2029 term.
The appointment marks a historic milestone as Hersi Said becomes the first person from East and Central Africa to serve on one of FIFA’s most influential football committees — a body responsible for overseeing, advising, and shaping the future of global men’s club competitions, including the FIFA Club World Cup and other international tournaments.

Eng. Hersi, who has been instrumental in transforming Young Africans (Yanga SC) into one of Africa’s most successful and professionally run football clubs, continues to gain recognition for his leadership and contributions to football administration both locally and across the continent.
