FFCN Boss, Ogunfuwa congratulates Olopade on Access Bank Lagos City Marathon Success

National President of Football Fans Club of Nigeria, FFCN, Ambassador Oluwakemi Ogunfuwa has lauded the uncommon expertise of the project consultant on the yearly Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, Honourable Bukola Olopade for the success recorded in the recently concluded race.

The CAF Award-winning Matriach who noted that the 2021 edition witnessed some of the best runners from across the globe has brought an improvement on the previous and thus makes the race an international event.

In her words, I sincerely like to give my very good brother kudos for making Nigeria a global marathon destination for deploying his unparalleled expertise in organizing such a world-class event.

She added that “the unique bonus in terms of International outlook he brought into this edition of the championship has further spurred our athletes to give their best to the nation and I believe it will translate to international media haul for Nigeria.” Ogun state born Supporters Club Boss added.

According to the CEO of Nilayo Sports Management company, runners who ran 2 hours; 10 minutes, and below went home with a $30,000 bonus. I think this has further attested to the ingenuity of former Commissioner of Youths and Sports in Ogun state in capacity building of our youth ”

Kenyan, Emmanuel Naibei Win Lagos City Marathon 2021 as Naibei beat about 300 marathoners to win the 42km race in 2 hours 11 minutes and 37 seconds and also claimed the grand prize of $30,000.

Access Bank Marathon Race is an annual event globally running in Nigeria since 2015 and Lagos State has been the faithful host.
