Strong Response After Early Setback

Femmco FC were forced to dig deep after conceding, but showed maturity beyond their years to claw their way back into the game. The turning point came late in the match when Waris Makinde, introduced from the bench, delivered a crucial assist to Adu Segun equaliser to rescue a point for his side.

The goal proved decisive, as Femmco FC secured a valuable draw that kept their unbeaten run intact in the competition.

After two games, Femmco FC have now accumulated four points, having earlier earned maximum points in their opening fixture against Favour-Rites FA, who conceded a walkover. The result keeps the “No Pain, No Gain” boys firmly at the summit of Group B heading into the final round of matches.

Their last group game will see them face Rainbow FA, a fixture that will determine their fate as they push to secure a quarterfinal berth.
Coach Reacts to Tactical Impact

Speaking after the match, Femmco FC head coach Oladehinde Adebayo praised his team’s fighting spirit and singled out the impact of his youngest player.

“I feel so happy about the comeback. The super substitution paid off. Waris is the youngest in the squad, and his ability was never in doubt,” the coach said.

Looking ahead, Adebayo stressed the importance of focus and preparation as the knockout stage approaches.
“We will plan ahead of the next game and keep the momentum, staying undefeated into the knockout stage,” he added.

With confidence growing and qualification within reach, Femmco FC will be eager to finish the group stage strongly and carry their momentum into the latter stages of the tournament.
