Nigeria’s women’s cricket national team, Female Yellow Greens will be all out to gain international domination from this Friday to next Saturday when they host a WT20i invitational tournament in Lagos.

Sports247 gathered that the Nigerian players are fully focused on making the country proud by emerging winners of the competition’s fifth edition, while hoping to take advantage of playing on home soil.
All hands are already on deck, as they get ready to compete against Zimbabwe, Ghana, Rwanda and South Africa (U19) in the tournament scheduled to hold from March 20 to March 28 at Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval, Lagos Island.
Ahead of the week-long competition, Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has already unveiled a squad of 15 invitees led by captain of the side, Piety Lucky, who will be joined by Anointed Akhigbe and Christabel Chukwuonye.
Others are Favour Effiong, Henrietta Mbam, Kehinde Amusa, Lilian Ude, Peace Usen, Queen Joseph, Salome Sunday, Sarah Etim, Shola Adekunle, Victory Igbinedion, Omosigho Eguakun and Esther Sandy.
A media statement by the NCF added, “The Nigeria Women’s Invitational WT20i 2026 will feature daily matches at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, promising fans an exciting week of international women’s cricket in Lagos.
“The tournament is expected to deliver thrilling action as emerging cricket nations battle for regional supremacy and, with the stage set, the hosts will be eager to make a strong statement and protect their turf in front of the home crowd.
“Backed by passionate home fans, Nigeria’s women’s cricket team will look to showcase their talent, determination and competitive spirit as they aim to dominate the competition.”
