Federal Capital Territory (FCT) permanent secretary, Christian Ohaa Chinyeaka is already exuding enthusiasm over the gains that would be accruable to the area for hosting the National Sports Festival.
Ahead of what has been officially tagged a co-hosting venture between the FCT and sports ministry for the festival next month in Abuja, Chinyeaka told sports247.ng that many benefits will come their way.
Chinyeaka reckoned that staging the sports festival in the nation’s capital city will bring tourism and economic development to Abuja.
The 19th National Sports Festival, which was finally taken away from Cross River State, after several postponements since 2012, will hold from 6th of December, and Chinyeaka is already excited about it.
Chinyeaka disclosed: “The FCT administration is poised to make sure that the event is a success.
“We know what it means and what it takes to make the FCT a sporting city like others around the world.”
