FC ONE Rocket’s Regular Season Ends With Defeat Against Warri Wolves

A historic season for FC ONE Rocket ended with a 2-1 loss to hosts, Warri Wolves at the Oleh Township Stadium, Delta State on Saturday.

Goodnews Paul’s stoppage time goal was not enough as the Indomitables suffered only their second defeat of the season.

Already through to the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8, head coach, Ndubisi Ndah made changes to the team and handed goalkeeper, Biram Haladji his first start, same as midfielder Ambrose Ochigbo, who all had a decent game, but first half goals from Malik Jabbar and Christian Izuchukwu made the difference in the end; while Goodnews Paul’s consolatory goal, his second of the season and against the same opponents, ensured the game ended 2-1 in favour of Warri Wolves.

Ndubisi Ndah’s men will now shift focus to the NNL Super 8 after finishing top of Southern Conference Group B1 with 20 points from 10 games.

A top four finish in the Super 8 will take the Indomitables to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
