FC ONE ROCKETS ACQUIRE NNL SLOT

Football fans in Akwa Ibom State will have the surreal opportunity of savouring action in the Nigeria National League (NNL) from three different teams when the 2020/2021 season Kicks off this September.

This follows the acquisition of an NNL slot by FC ONE Rockets, Abat, Onna, Akwa Ibom State from Collins Edwin SC of Lagos.

The Proprietor of FC ONE Rockets, Otuekong Nse Essien, disclosed this, Sunday, while serving as Chief Guest of Honour during a Special Worship Session organized by Akwa Ibom State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN).

This brings the number of NNL teams in the State to three; with Ibom Youth FC and Vandrezzer FC already campaigning in the Country’s second tier of league football.

While calling for support from Government and football lovers of the State, Mr. Essien noted that he has complemented the Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel by creating wealth and employment to no fewer than fifty natives of the State through his privately-owned outfit, FC ONE Rockets.

Already boosted by the presence of two NPFL sides in Akwa United and Dakkada FC, one top flight women’s league side in Ibom Angels and now, three NNL sides as well as a host of NLO sides including Cofine FC, Akwa Ibom State is fast becoming Nigeria’s Football Destination.
