Nigeria Green Falcons player Favour Rhema has expressed confidence that the team is fully prepared to represent the country at the World Rugby Series in Canada later this month.
Speaking ahead of their debut at the global tournament, Rhema revealed that the team’s preparation has been intense, with a series of friendly matches — including two games against Ghana — helping to sharpen their fitness and teamwork.

She described the friendlies as vital tests that exposed areas of improvement while also boosting the team’s morale.
“The matches against Ghana gave us a real sense of competition and helped us understand where we need to improve,” Rhema said. “We’ve grown stronger as a team, and our focus is clear — to represent Nigeria with pride and return home as champions.”
Rhema emphasized the unity and determination within the squad, saying that every player understands the magnitude of the opportunity ahead. “This is history for us. We are not just going there to participate but to compete seriously. We’re working hard to ensure Nigeria’s flag is flying high,” she added.
She also called on Nigerians to support the Green Falcons, noting that encouragement from fans can make a huge difference. “We feel the love from home, and it motivates us to give our all on the field,” she said.
As Nigeria prepares for their first-ever appearance at the Rugby World Series, the Green Falcons are determined to make a strong impression and put the nation on the global rugby map.
