“When Onuachu first arrived, I called him the top scorer,” Tekke said. “He has special talents, but what I want from him is to be even better.”
The Trabzonspor boss acknowledged the striker’s natural goal-scoring instincts and physical presence but emphasized the importance of refinement, particularly in possession.
“If he doesn’t lose some balls easily, he will score more goals,” Tekke added, pointing to areas where marginal improvements could translate into even greater output in front of goal.
Onuachu has been in impressive form in recent weeks, consistently finding the net and proving decisive in key matches. His aerial dominance, positioning inside the box, and ability to convert chances have made him a central figure in Trabzonspor’s attacking setup.
Beyond his performances on matchdays, Tekke highlighted the striker’s professionalism and dedication behind the scenes.
“We are very happy to have him. What I like most about him is how he works hard in training,” the manager concluded.
The comments reflect both satisfaction and ambition — recognition of Onuachu’s current contributions, alongside belief that the Nigerian international still has another level to reach. With confidence growing and the backing of his manager, Onuachu appears well-positioned to continue his strong run in Turkish football.
