Fast-rising Grassroots Football Coach Idris Oseni Adewale Looks For Better Days To Come

A fast-rising grassroots football coach, Oseni Idris Adewale is looking up to better days ahead for himself and his teenage players, as he says they have to put last weekend’s loss behind them in order to achieve victories in the future.

Sports247 reports that the soft-spoken tactician, youth developer and mentor, who runs Super Accurate Footbsll Academy at Ikotun Community Primary School, added that he always believes there are better days ahead, but noted that such can only be gained once he and his players stay focused on what they are doing.

He admitted that losing last Saturday’s final of the 2nd Lann Hydra U13 Cup, of which he was the organiser, was a huge disappointment for him and his players, but the man fondly called ‘Coach Super’ added that he takes consolation in how his younger boys won the under-10 category earlier on the same day.

“Football is like that. You win some and lose some. So, we just have to pick ourselves up and look for better days ahead of us,” he calmly stated.

‘Coach Super’ also thanked everyone who supported him for the competition, especially the chairman of Ikotun Community Primary School Football Association, Alhaji Muthairu Taofeeq and other guests who graced the high table for Saturday’s finals that were both watched bya huge at the arena located at the junction of Ijegun/Abaranje Roads.

While Super Accurate defeated Gunners FA 1-0 in the under-10 category, their under-13 squad lost a penalty shoot-out 1-4 to Young Tigers, whose goalkeeper, Olalere Yusuf (aka Muller) was outstanding in the encounter.

After seeing his side denied victory with a controversial equaliser that was allowed by the referee, after adding five minutes to regulation time and the game ended 1-1, Yusuf made a world of difference for the team of ‘Coach Santos’ by stopping three of the host team’s kicks.

That meant disappointment for Coach Oseni Adewae and his boys, but they are now looking for better days ahead of them.
