Nigeria’s Falconets head coach, Moses Aduku, has hailed his side’s dominant display after they crushed Rwanda 4–0 in the second leg of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, sealing a 5–0 aggregate triumph.
The young Nigerian side were in control from start to finish, earning praise for their sharp attack and solid defense. Aduku said the performance was a sign of the team’s readiness to go far in the qualifiers.

“The girls were excellent today,” Aduku said. “From the first whistle, they showed hunger, commitment, and quality. Scoring four goals without reply shows the kind of football we want to play.”
He emphasized that the Falconets are not taking any opponent lightly and are already preparing for the next round, where they will face either Senegal or Algeria.
“We know the next stage will be tougher, but we are ready. We respect every team, but our mission is clear—to qualify for the World Cup. We will tailor our strategies to suit whoever we meet,” he explained.
The Falconets’ record at youth level has been strong, with the team consistently qualifying for the U-20 World Cup and often reaching the latter stages. Aduku said this consistency must now translate into going all the way.
“Nigeria has always been among the best at this level. Our job now is to go one step further and bring the trophy home. The girls believe in themselves, and that belief is very powerful,” Aduku added.
The Falconets will now focus on maintaining momentum as the qualifiers progress, with Aduku stressing that hard work remains the key.
