Ex-International (FUBS) Line Up Against The Salvation Army In A Centenary Novelty Football Match

The Salvation Army, an International Religious and Humanitarian Organization, will be celebrating her Centenary (100 Years) in Nigeria on 26th – 29th August 2021, with the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osibanjo as the Special Guest of Honour and the World Leaders of the Organization, General Brian Peddle and his wife, Commissioner Rosalie Peddle who is the World President for Women Ministries as our Guest of Honour respectively.

Meanwhile, during the celebrations, there will be a special Sports Evangelism (Football Match) for both Male & Female on Saturday 28 August 2021 afternoon at the Legacy Pitch of the Lagos National Stadium, where an Invitational Novelty Football Match between Family United By Sports popularly known as FUBS Team featuring Ex-Internationals and former Super Eagle Stars on parade will roll out its tanks against The Salvation Army Football Team being captained by our sports and music-loving National Leaders and Ex-Footballer Colonel Victor and his beautiful wife Rose-Maria Leslie in a titanic battle.

Amongst those who have endorsed and will feature at this epic Football Match will be the “Prince of Monaco” Victor Nosa Ikpeba, Ike Anobi Shoroumu, Ifeanyi Udeze, Mutiu Adepoju, Godwin Okpara, Friday Ekpo, Onone Obruthe, Johnathan Akpaborie, Gafar Liameed, Dapo Sotuminu, just to mention a few.

The event promises to be a spectacle of delight for soccer-loving fans in celebration of 100 years of God’s faithfulness to Nigerians through The Salvation Army’s numerous social, spiritual and humanitarian interventions around the world and Nigeria in particular.

The Centenary celebration will kick off on Wednesday 25 August 2021 with a Musical Concert at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island where The Salvation Army Band, Songsters, Timbrels will join forces with their Guest the Chicago Staff Band from the USA who are already in town.

Other programs of activities for the week-long celebrations will include, the Welcome Service on Thursday Night, the Opening Ceremony on
Friday, Men, Women and Youth Congresses on Saturday, the ‘March of Witness’, Ordination and Commissioning of Cadets (Pastors), and Holiness Meeting on Sunday.

All these activities will take place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos.
