Ethan Nwaneri’s Younger Brother Moves Closer To English Premier League Action

Olympique Marseille of France’s Nigerian-born attacker, Ethan Nwaneri will be delighted to learn that his 15-year-old younger brother, Emerson, is heading closer to a regular shirt in Arsenal’s senior squad.

Sports247 reports that Emerson Nwaneri could end up featuring for The Gunners regularly in the English Premier League, as the London-based team aim for the title this season.

Emerson was one of eight Arsenal youth team players who were presented to the club’s fans last week Tuesday at Emirates Stadium, where the youngster was handed his jersey by Arsenal legend, by Per Mertesacker.

Head of Arsenal’s academy coaching crew, Luke Hobbs was also present to welcome Emerson, who had earlier been called into the UEFA Youth League squad as a schoolboy.

The teenager, who operates as an attacking midfielder and a centre-forward, is following in his older brother’s footsteps at Arsenal, which he has represented at U18 and U21 levels this season.

Ethan Nwaneri enthused about his younger sibling: “We’re really close, but I wouldn’t say we are that similar. He’s probably more outgoing than me – he’s the loud one.

“There are three years between us so it would be really cool if we could both play in the Arsenal first team together one day. We’ve spoken about that a bit and it’s something to aim for.”
