Nigerian-born attacker Ethan Nwaneri appears to be heading out of Arsenal of England once again, as globally renowned players’ transfers expert Fabrizio Romano has predicted yet another loan deal for the youngster, who spent the second part of last season at Olympique Marseille of France.
Sports247 gathered that, in contrast with initial hints that Nwaneri could fit into the plans of Mikel Arteta at Emirates Stadium this time out, a different line of reckoning has been raised by Romano regarding the youngster, who has scored four goals in 24 English Premier League appearances.
However, despite showing huge promise at the start of his professional career and seemingly hitting form whenever called upon, Nwaneri’s continued lack of consistent game time has raised questions over his long-term future with The Gunners, though he is also their youngest-ever EPL debutant.
Nwaneri has also shown glimpses of his considerable potential despite limited opportunities under Arteta, and he has now apparently caught the eye of top shots at AC Milan of Italy, who Romano says have emerged as a likely destination for the teenager, and Arsenal are ready to let him go.
This development means Nwaneri is set to leave Emirates Stadium again this summer, with the 19-year-old winger’s likely destination now said to be Milan, where The Rossoneri are reportedly ready to give the Nigerian-born lad regular first-team opportunities as their next creative pivot.
Romano hinted at this possibility becoming a reality, as he wrote in his latest transfer updates: “Ethan Nwaneri will leave Arsenal before the end of the summer transfer window, as planned weeks ago. He was not even on the bench against Man City despite being involved in pre-season.”
