Ethan Nwaneri Scores For England’s U21s, Pushes Aside Arsenal Exit Talk

Arsenal’s Nigerian-born youngster, Ethan Nwaneri brushed aside any form of worry he might be harbouring about an impending loan departure from Emirates Stadium, as he braved all odds to score for England’s under-21 squad on Tuesday.

Sports247 reports that Nwaneri was among the scorers, as England’s under-21 team got a 4-0 victory away to Slovakia and went top of their European Championship qualifying group.

Nwaneri’s goal helped the squad pick a fifth straight win without conceding a goal and the defending champions moved two points clear with a game in hand.

While Lee Carsley’s team look good to qualify for the 2027 European Championship, which will be hosted by Albania and Serbia, Nwaneri will return to London to face details about his next port of call in the new year.

This is sequel to an additional report by Express newspaper, which read in part: “Arsenal appear to be facing a big decision over the future of Ethan Nwaneri, who could reportedly go out on loan in the January window.

“The highly-rated teenager has been involved in the senior squad under Mikel Arteta since making his Gunners debut at just 15 years old.

“However, he is yet to start a league match for the north Londoners so far this season. It has led to questions over Nwaneri’s immediate future despite him signing a new contract in the summer.

“Reports have suggested that he could depart on a temporary basis when the transfer window opens in January, which can be a good thing for his development.”
