Etebo Enthusiastic Of Making Quick Recovery

Stoke City of England midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has disclosed that he is very enthusiastic of making a quick recovery from the groin injury he copped against Nottingham Forest last weekend, as he believes his club’s medical crew took the right precautionary measure for him.

Sports247.ng can report that Etebo is happy that he was not forced to play on during the game on Saturday, in which he scored his side’s opening goal, as going off early meant he did not aggravate the knock.

Having gone off, rather than keep playing in order to score another goal for his side, Etebo believes he saved himself from stretching himself and playing through the pain barrier, which could have led to worsening of the affected groin and making it become more tedious to heal.

Etebo, who had to go off for Charlie Adam in the 66th minute of the 2-0 win at Bet365 Stadium, where he scored the game’s first goal with a 15th minute belter, enthused that he will now be fine after some days.

Although he had to be replaced 20 minutes into the second half, Etebo is staying upbeat, as he declared: “It was my groin, but I think I’m going to be fine.
“If I’d continued I think I would have strained it more. I just had to stop, but because I did that I think I’m going to be fine.”
