ESU blasts NFF over Falcons’ World Cup departure

Godfrey Esu takes an aim at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the manner in which the Super Falcons left the shore of the country to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup holding in France.

 

The Thomas Dennerby side departed Abuja immediately for Austria after their latest victory in the sub-region football competition (WAFU Cup) last week and the team is expected to travel to the venue of the World Cup in France from the camp on Tuesday.

 

However, Esu feels the Nigeria Football Federation should have organized better departure arrangements for the nine-time African Champions, the same way they celebrated the Super Eagles before the 2018 World Cup.
