Super Falcons forward Esther Okoronkwo says the team remains fully focused ahead of Tuesday’s decisive WAFCON qualifier against Benin Republic in Abeokuta.
Okoronkwo, who was instrumental in Nigeria’s 2–0 first-leg win, said the players are not getting carried away and are determined to complete the job on home soil.

“We remain focused,” Okoronkwo said confidently. “We know the first leg was good, but there’s still work to be done. Every game is different, and we have to approach this one with the same hunger and concentration.”
The AFC Toronto striker praised the team’s spirit and chemistry under coach Justine Madugu, adding that the unity within the camp has been a key factor in their recent performances.
“There’s great understanding among us,” she continued. “Everyone is fighting for the same goal — to qualify for the WAFCON and then the World Cup.”
Okoronkwo also called on fans to fill the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, saying their support will help drive the team to another strong performance.
