Veteran Turkish football commentator Erman Toroğlu has offered a detailed assessment of Nigeria’s two in-form strikers, Paul Onuachu and Victor Osimhen, weighing their contrasting strengths as the debate over their qualities continues to gather momentum.
Speaking on their technical attributes, Toroğlu highlighted Onuachu’s refinement in key attacking areas, suggesting the towering forward possesses a more complete all-round technique.
According to the outspoken pundit, Onuachu’s shooting mechanics stand out, alongside his ability to play incisive through balls and execute effective body feints—qualities not always associated with a striker of his stature.
“Onuachu’s shooting technique is better than Osimhen’s. His through balls are better than Osimhen’s. His body feints are also better than Osimhen’s,” Toroğlu noted.
However, the former referee was quick to acknowledge Osimhen’s explosive athleticism, pointing to pace as a decisive advantage for the Napoli forward.
While Osimhen’s speed makes him devastating in transition and behind defensive lines, Toroğlu reserved special praise for Onuachu’s movement, stressing that his mobility is exceptional despite his imposing frame.
“Osimhen is faster in terms of speed, but despite his height, Onuachu’s mobility is truly incredible,” he added.
Toroğlu’s comments underline the different profiles both strikers bring to Nigeria’s attacking options—Osimhen with raw pace and intensity, and Onuachu with technique, intelligence, and surprising agility.
