Preparations for the 2026 Coal City Games gathered momentum on Monday, September 15, as the Main Organising Committee (MOC) and Local Organising Committee (LOC) held a strategic meeting via Zoom.
Chaired by Hon. Bukola Olopade (MOC) and Llyod Ekweremadu (LOC), the session reviewed progress on facilities and set October 2025 for the next official inspection in Enugu.

Both committees praised the Enugu State Government for mobilizing contractors early, stressing that the move reflects its commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure.
Organisers expressed confidence that the Coal City Games 2026 will raise the bar in sports excellence, unity, and celebration for Nigeria and beyond.
