Emmanuel Ihuzuo Goes into NNL Second Phase as Leading Goal Banger

City Football club of Abuja prized striker, Emmanuel Ihuzuo begins the second stanza of the 2021/2022 Nigeria national league with nine goals that has placed him as the leading top goal poacher in the most important domestic football league in Nigeria.

The twenty one year old has banged in nine goals in half of the NNL season for his Abuja based club in nine matches of the Northern conference group A1.

In all nine goals, Emmanuel scored four braces against ABS FC, Oyah Sports Int’l, Family Worship and Mighty Jets of Jos and one against EFCC Football club of Abuja.

Emmanuel who stands 1.60 metres tall has also provided one assists for his team in their quest to succeed in the NNL

The duo of DMD FC players Alpha Igbudu and Lucky Edjare are on five goals list at the end of the NNL half break.

Striker Ojifini Abdullahi of ABS got the only hat trick in the half, in the Northern conference, he struck thrice against Zamfara United, and overall eighteen year old Ojifini has banged in five goals so far this season.

Other players on the brace list in the Northern conference are :

4. Abdullahi Lala –Jigawa Golden Stars

Malumfashi fc and City fc of Abuja are the teams in the NNL half with the worst record of disciplined after receiving 26 and 20 yellow cards and 3 and 2 red cards each.

The best disciplined teams went to Jigawa Golden Stars and Mighty Jets of Jos who bagged 16 and 11 yellow cards .
Doma United,Jigawa Golden Stars,DMD and Sokoto United ended the half as the attacking teams .

The team with the best defence went to El-Kanemi Warriors ,DOMA United and Jigawa Golden Stars.

In the Southern conference.

Midfielder Tega Ebetomane six goals for Warri Wolves so far put him in pole position on the list of scorers in the Southern conference.
Forward Dennis Meshak of Crown fc is behind on five goals, so is Ifeanyi Okoro of Adoartion FC Enugu and Habeeb Owolabi of Osun United.

The trio of Lekan Abdulsalam ,Isaac Saviour and Samuel Edohor of Vandrezzer fc are on joint four goals.

Ifeanyi Okoro name also went down in history as a hat-trick scorer after he hit the net thrice against Giant Brillars of Enugu.

Willy Nmesirionye of Abia Comets also hit the bulls eyes thrice in the encounter Abia Comets versus Ottasolo of Lagos.

A summary of the first NNL stanza rated Giant Brillars fc Enugu ,Apex Krane and Crown FC as the teams with the poorest disciplinary records in the area of yellow and red cards accumulated.

Bendel Insurance emerged as the best behaved team with the list cautions in the half.

Most attacking team went to Ibom Youth FC and Nnewi United while, Gateway United ,Rovers of Calabar and Cynosure of Abakaliki got rated as the best defence having conceded six and eight goals each.

QUICKEST GOALS: The overall fastest goal is 01 secs scored by Okeku Daniel of J’Atete in their tie against Abeokuta Stormers and 03 secs goal of Babatunde Solomon of Bayelsa United against Cynosure FC.

LATE GOALS: Late goals in the half a 104 minutes goal scored by Ebuka Ogbonna of Abia Comets against Ijebu United and that of Emmanuel Ihuzuo of City fc Abuja against ABS of Ilorin in the 98minutes.
