On behalf of fhe Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede and the entire supporters of the club, the management of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, mourns the sudden demise of a former chairman of the club, Elder Bode Oyewole.
Elder Oyewole, reportedly passed on, Tuesday morning, during a brief illness.
We are shocked and deeply touched by the death of Elder Oyewole, who was the club’s chairman when the team won both the league and the FA Cup in 1995.
No doubt, it is a great loss to the entire football fraternity in particular Shooting Stars, which he served as chairman on two different occasions.
He would be greatly missed by every lover of this club but his achievemnet will remain indelible.
While we pray that God grants him eternal rest, it is our prayers also that God will give those he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
